W7G Golden Spike Special Event
W7G commemorates the May 10, 1869 driving of the Golden Spike at Promontory Summit, Utah, completing the Transcontinental Railroad. Its historical special-event record is preserved here.
OARC has not recorded a current program owner or review date. No future event date, operating schedule, frequencies, or QSL procedure is currently published; older material is historical, not current operating guidance.
The May 9, 2026 event included 1500Z–2300Z operating hours, SSB and possible CW frequencies, and a postal QSL route through OARC. Those details applied only to that dated event.
