OARC:

VISITORS are always WELCOME!  

Anyone with an interest in Amateur Radio is welcome to attend club meetings and activities. You do not need an amateur license to join us. You do not need to join the club to participate with us. Membership in the Ogden Amateur Radio Club is open to anyone interested in Amateur Radio.  

Complimentary Membership free for the remainder of first year licensed. Then membership is only $15 per year. We have not had a membership dues increase since year 2000. Come join the fun.

DUES:

Dues are used to operate the club, field day activities, free steak fry activity and repeater equipment maintenance. Membership dues have not been increased for over two decades.

Membership dues are $15.00 per year for a licensed ham and runs August - August. Whole family membership is available for families with more than one licensed ham in the household for $25.00 per year.

An associate membership for the non-licensed is $10.00 per year. So a licensed ham and spouse or dependant can all join for $25.00. Come join the fun.

ARRL:

The Amateur Radio Relay League ARRL is the national membership association for Amateur Radio operators. ARRL membership optionally includes a subscription to the QST magazine or the On The Air magazine.

RACES:

Founded in 1952, the Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service (RACES) is a public service that provides a reserve communications group within government agencies in times of extraordinary need. During periods of activation, RACES personnel are called upon to perform many tasks for the government agencies they serve. Although the exact nature of each activation will be different, the common thread is communications.

If you would like to join RACES in Utah complete the membership application and mail it to the address shown on the form. RACES in Utah

ARES:

The Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) consists of licensed amateurs who have voluntarily registered their qualifications and equipment for communications duty in the public service when disaster strikes. Basic information available about Amateur Radio ARES Volunteer & ARRL ARES.

If you would like to join ARES complete the registration form and give it to your Emergency Coordinator. Contact the Utah Section Manager if you don't know your Emergency Coordinator.

Weber County ARES Sheriff Communications team meets 1st Saturday of each month at 10 am at the Weber Co. Sheriff's Office.
Also, a local ARES net operates Tuesday evenings at 8:00 PM on 448.600 MHz.

Our GOAL at WC ARES is to work together to provide public service communications support for special events.
